Psyday the 13th is a psychedelic interpretation of the iconic Jason Voorhees character from the Friday the 13th horror franchise.

Originally created as part of Brizbazaar's first Halloween Collection/Design Release in 2021, the design was part of a collection built around a distinctive visual theme: sunset-colored faces.

Psyday takes the instantly recognizable hockey-mask killer and pushes the character into a surreal psychedelic environment — emerging from a body of water surrounded by funky waves, reflective color, dripping details, and Briz's signature black-and-white accents.

🎭 THE HOCKEY MASK

The hockey mask is transformed into a vibrant sunset-inspired color palette featuring:

The familiar mask silhouette remains recognizable while the colorful shading gives it a completely different psychedelic personality.

The mask holes are enlarged for an exaggerated, graphic look, with Brizbazaar's signature psychedelic drips flowing directly from them.

⛓️ THE CHAINS

Wrapped around the masked figure's neck are black-and-white chains, creating a bold graphic element against the colorful character and reflective water.

The chain treatment continues the black-and-white visual language found throughout the design while adding an extra layer of texture and attitude.

🌊 THE WATER

One of the defining elements of Psyday is the strange, psychedelic body of water surrounding the character.

Instead of realistic waves, the water is built from funky, flowing lines that create a stylized sense of movement.

The outer edges of the water feature shades of blue, while the area directly in front of the figure becomes much more colorful.

The water uses a unique reflective coloring technique, pulling colors from the character and surrounding them with shifting reflected tones.

This makes it look as though Psyday isn't simply standing in water — he's emerging from a psychedelic reflection.

The combination of wavy linework and reflective color gives the water an almost dreamlike quality.

🔪 THE MACHETE

Emerging from beneath the water is the machete held by the masked killer.

Rather than leaving the weapon as a flat metallic object, the blade receives Briz's signature dripping treatment.
